What is a Gong Soiree exactly?
Gong baths for small private groups are a lovely way of developing and blessing relationships with friends, family and other associates. They can be especially relaxing, convivial and fun in an informal setting.
So that's why I came up with the idea of gong soirees!
In the home they can be incorporated into an evening of entertaining, with refreshments to follow, perhaps. Away from a domestic environment, gong soirees have also proved popular as a welcome element in workshops of all sorts, charity events and even corporate bonding exercises. And despite the name, gong soirees don't have to be held in the evenings!
Organising a workshop or retreat? Then why not consider adding a gong soiree to your event. The gongs have a magical way of complementing a wide variety of gatherings.
You don't have to invite a group of people to enjoy gong soirees. One-to-one gonging allows us to focus on particular issues and can be a wonderfully enriching, healing experience in an environment of your choosing.

And a gong bath?
'Feel the gong's pulsations and let the millions of vibrations dance and flow through your senses. You will become fearless, relaxed and awakened.' - Yogi Bhajan
In a gong bath, laying down on a comfortable mat or in a reclining chair, you are literally 'bathed' in sound. The cleansing metaphor holds true as the vibrating tones of the gong break through the mental and physical blocks of mind, body and spirit to promote a deep sense of well-being, relaxation and inner peace. The sound of the gong has the effect of timelessness – and of de-materialisation. People often have the experience of floating in space, or in an ocean. Some have inspiring visions, or see colours.
More than a musical instrument, the gong is a conduit for vibrational waves of energy, releasing reverberating tones of great fullness and resonance that interact with the human body on a very deep, even cellular level. The gong facilitates deep meditation; it can open all the chakras and enable healing to more readily occur, as the body concentrates on drawing in the sounds it needs to re-align and harmonise itself.
And the silence which settles when the gong bath ends is often very profound.
Most people emerge from a gong bath feeling extremely relaxed, re-energised and refreshed. The aura, nerve and immune systems seem strengthened and the inner voice of higher consciousness more easily heard.
